The Life Group that meets on Saturday mornings will begin a new study of Dallas Willard’s, Life Without Lack: Living in the Fullness of Psalm 23. Willard shows us what it means to live without fear, in contentment, peace, and security. The study begins August 12 at 10:30 AM at Mary Heathman’s home, Please contact either Susan Eisenhower or Mary know if you plan on coming so we can have enough chairs set up! Susan can order you a book if needed.
Pen Friends—We will be distributing cards to our Pen Friends in August. Cards are distributed to several local
senior nursing communities and others confined to their homes. We need about 300 cards by August 13. The cards should be “Thinking of You” and encouragement cards. We greatly appreciate your help with this. The cards can be placed in the two boxes on the table in the foyer. If you have any questions, please contact Terry Semones. Thank you.

AWANA is beginning soon! It’s hard to believe we’re about through July and heading into Back-To-School season…yikes! Or yay for some of us parents. :)
As sad as the close of summer is for some, I’m excited because it means it’s almost time for AWANA!!!!! We plan to start back on September 6, just a few weeks away!!!
We had such a wonderful time last year and I’d like to personally invite you to serve in this wonderful children’s ministry. We need YOU; not to just be a warm body or fill a spot, but to throw your heart and soul into this ministry for the next generation. As Paul put it: “…Don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 MSG)
Words can’t describe how much my heart has been touched by being apart of the AWANA program. We have the glorious opportunity to teach, share and testify to the love of Jesus Christ to dozens of kids every single week! How awesome is that! Some of the kids come with a strong church foundation and know who Jesus is, some have made the most important decision of their lives and have asked Him into their hearts, and for some of them it’s the only time they hear about Jesus. We get to be apart of all of that! Oh, how it makes my heart sing!
I’m calling you to come join the team! Come be disciples raising up the next generation of disciples!
“Therefore go and make disciples…teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19,20 NIV)
I’m going to conduct 2 different training sessions at the end of August for our current team and anyone that would like to join this awesome team. Once I have the dates solidified, I’ll get them in the bulletin. Can’t wait to see you all there!
