NO 2022 Friends Women Craft and Bake Sale - From the depths of our hearts, DFC Friends Women wishes to thank DFC friends and family for their generous and faithful support of the annual Fall Craft and Bake Sale over the years. However, as our group has aged and declined in numbers and fewer folks are “crafting”, we have decided NOT to have the sale this year.

As the craft/bake sale has typically been a large portion of the funds we raise each year for MISSIONS, we do encourage YOU to prayerfully consider a donation marked “FW Fall Sale”.  Consider the time and $$ you would have spent making baked goods, crafting items, serving for/at the sale, and purchasing items. As usual, ALL money will go to

missions!

Therefore, new sign up sheets are on the table in the foyer. Prayerfully consider how you can serve in this ministry to our church neighborhood. Speak with Mary Ford if you have any questions or want her to place your name on a list. Also, be sure to request your name be removed or changed to a different time if that is the case. Music Teachers

Kay Burgi has played the piano for many, many years and began playing in church at age 15. She has served as the DFC pianist over the years. She enjoys teaching and is available for beginning students.

Mark Healton has played guitar for a great many years now. He learned to play in a less formal setting, sitting and playing behind another song leader in his youth group at Sacramento, CA Friends Church. Since then, his guitar has been an important tool for connecting with other people, and the Lord, through music.

Mark fell in love with the ukulele during college - “You simply can't be unhappy while strumming one!” The best part about the ukulele is that if you learn it, you're more than halfway to learning guitar too! He looks forward to sharing his passion for guitar with you.

Alli Jacks has been a lover of music all her life. She is excited to share that passion with anyone who is interested in dabbling in some rhythm. Through the years, Alli has gathered fond memories of connecting with God, and with others, through music. She is eager to add to those experiences while teaching drums to kids and/or adults who want to open the door to that possible journey in their lives.

Halee Savery has taught music as a profession since 2003. She  taught elementary music for 13 years, performed in musical theatre and choral music in China, London and the US. She loves to teach private voice lessons! Halee is currently the music leader at DFC and will be teaching voice, djembe and keyboards this summer.

Carl Walker has played guitar and bass for well over 50 years. He has performed professionally in bands from London to Canada, San Francisco to Amarillo and many points between. He has written, recorded and produced hundreds of songs using digital music editing software.

Please contact Halee Savery if you have questions or would like to participate in this unique and fun opportunity! Our heart is to raise up a generation of worship leaders! Even if you never want to lead music up front, worship through music is accessible to anyone who desires to praise God, and who better to learn from than our own worship team at Denver Friends?

Al-Anon—If you know of anyone who struggles with another person’s drinking or drugs, please suggest they join us at 7:00 PM in the church parlor on Tuesday nights. Contact Marlene Pittman for more information.
