So Grateful for God’s Provision—The prolonged replacement of the church boiler has come to a happy ending. That project is a testimony to God’s provision and how we are real players in that provision. Your contributions fully funded the project before a wrench was lifted. Plus, there were surplus boiler funds available to rehabilitate our heating system outside the boiler room. Thank you so much.
Then there were things we could not anticipate. A parts shortage delaying the delivery of our boilers by four months. An exceptionally warm November in which we were able to get by with space heaters. A deep cold snap in December after our heating system was up and running. Thank You, Lord.
In all these things we see God’s provision. And we see how, together, we are real players in God’s provision. Your Stewardship Committee offers a sincere Thank You in every direction.
Stewardship: the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care. (Merriam Webster)

To help us decorate the tree in the sanctuary this year, it would be merry for each person or family to create an ornament to hang on the tree. Bring your contribution over the next weeks and trade yours for one of our plain ornaments. If you add a tag with your name on it to the ornament, we can see who brings or creates what, and share this experience together. If you are not feeling creative, or just have an extra colorful or sparkly ornament in your own stash and you want to share that, please feel free to participate in that way, too.
Operation Christmas Child Follow-Up—Thanks to all who put together boxes! NO 2022 Friends Women Craft and Bake Sale - From the depths of our hearts, DFC Friends Women wishes to thank DFC friends and family for their generous and faithful support of the annual Fall Craft and Bake Sale over the years. However, as our group has aged and declined in numbers and fewer folks are “crafting”, we have decided NOT to have the sale this year.
As the craft/bake sale has typically been a large portion of the funds we raise each year for MISSIONS, we do encourage YOU to prayerfully consider a donation marked “FW Fall Sale”. Consider the time and $$ you would have spent making baked goods, crafting items, serving for/at the sale, and purchasing items. As usual, ALL money will go to
missions!
Please pray for the future of this event and the direction of DFC Friends Women. Also, if you have already made items for the craft portion of the sale, please let Mary Ford know. there may be a possibility of a MINI CRAFT SALE before Christmas.

The group’s name is Ministerio Profético Liberando Cautivas (Prophetic Ministry Freeing the Captives). They are a ministry which started in Honduras in 2017. The leaders of the group here are Mario and Tracey Irias who have recently moved from North Carolina when they felt God’s calling to build the ministry here. They have a 9 month old son named Nehemiah.
They are a Bible-believing, Pentecostal group with a passion for connecting with people and teaching them the Gospel. Their services will be from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Sunday afternoons. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Eisenhower.
Al-Anon—If you know of anyone who struggles with another person’s drinking or drugs, please suggest they join us at 7:00 PM in the church parlor on Tuesday nights. Contact Marlene Pittman for more information.
