The Denver Friends Church COVID Task Force is aware that the state and local COVID mandates have changed. Please know that the task force is exploring and researching how these new mandates affect our church and its ministries. Pray for wisdom for our Task Force. Let’s continue to pray together for our country and our church to be safe.

International Friends Church Multiplication Conference - Join evangelically-minded Friends leaders, students, and others at the International Friends Church Multiplication Conference November 11-13. This 100% online event will be an inspiring, world-wide Great Commission gathering that is the first of its kind in history!

The needs around us have never been greater, both in our wider world and among Friends. The pandemic, social tensions, and political conflicts remind us that people need the Lord! More and more men and women are praying that the Lord would pour out His Spirit in such a way that it gives birth to a church multiplication movement. This conference is a part of that vision—bringing Friends together electronically to be inspired, to learn, to encourage one another to pray, and to continue to move toward that missional goal! God hasn’t asked us to win the whole world to Christ by ourselves as Friends, but He has entrusted to us a portion of that calling. We want to be faithful to do our part to fulfill the Great Commission and contribute to a multiplication movement…”for such a time as this!”

The main speaker is the Executive Director of the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center. He is a prolific author, and well-known conference speaker. He has planted, revitalized, and pastored churches, trained pastors and church planters on six continents, holds two masters degrees and two doctorates, and has written or co-written a dozen books and hundreds of articles. Stetzer is a contributing editor for Christianity Today, a columnist for Outreach Magazine, and is frequently cited or interviewed in news outlets such as USAToday and CNN. He is also the Executive Editor of The Gospel Project, which is used by over 1 million individuals each week. Stetzer also co-hosts BreakPoint This Week, a radio broadcast that airs on over 400 media outlets.

Cost for registration is $30. Register now at FriendsMultiply.org so that you don't miss out on the early registration special!

Thank you! - Thank you for being such faithful givers during this time of COVID. Your continued giving is such a blessing. You are amazing, Denver Friends Church!

SUPPORT DENVER FRIENDS MISSIONARIES

WHAT GOD DOES THROUGH YOUR GENEROSITY

When you decide to support the missionaries that Denver Friends Church is committed to support, you become part of God’s story of what He is doing as He expands His Kingdom, in and through our missionaries. God is calling you and all of His creation to reflect His glory in our lives. As you are drawn toward God, your own God story transforms your life, your views of worship, prayer and missions will want to spread the Gospel too.

You have options. You can choose to be a mission field’s prayer partner, or you can share your finances by giving a monthly or one-time donation, you can choose to be a support group member, or you can choose to do all three. As an invested partner, you will receive a periodic letter from the missionary letting you know about their God story as field workers. These updates give you a window of their world allowing you to peer into God’s world and the lives of the missionary’s everyday world. It will open your eyes to see how God is alive even in the remotest or most oppressed villages.

Your gift matters. The heart of God’s story is that He does not want anyone to perish. Through your gift you are saying yes to His invitation to you to be part of that story. Each mission fields’ particular work shows how God is calling others to Him. You will learn how lives are changing by God’s grace and love for them and through the love of His servants that work in His name. Those touched by God give their testimonies on how they found Christ because of the missionaries’ presence and leadership in helping to plant churches, disciple their community leaders or by meeting their physical, mental or emotional needs. Children who are introduced to Jesus are eager to share their excitement and often serve Him.

Your prayers matter. At times missionaries go through dry spells, they can become overwhelmed with the culture and language challenges, they are lonely, they feel isolated or burdened with the problems of the people they serve. Prayer is the great equalizer; it brings the power of King Jesus to resolve a situation in His timing and in His way. Our Lord wants us to intercede for each other; to stand in the gap for our brothers and sisters. This unity moves God to bless us, so His name will be glorified.

Your gift of time matters. You can further your commitment to become more aware and in sharing ownership of a mission field’s work by becoming a member of that missionary’s support group. These groups meet monthly or at least once quarterly. These gatherings are focused on how God is moving in these various communities, showing how ministry happens. Another blessing besides getting further acquainted with the work of the missionaries is, that at the same time you get to gather with others that have a heart for missions. Often the group chooses to meet and to have a meal, which heightens the fellowship among the members.

Organized church support matters; it is vital to the missionaries. Without our support, they would not be able to fulfill God’s calling for the field He has called them to. We must remember they are our missionaries. They are our team. They are our family. They represent us to the ends of the earth. Some of us are called to the nations, the rest of us are called to send.

Your generosity matters. Our investment to support a missionary encourages them. It’s our great privilege to connect with Jesus followers who are on the front lines; who are excited to be involved in the work of the King.

We encourage you to pray how the Lord is calling you to support missions. If He calls you to support mission fields financially, ask Him about how much He would have you give, and then pray about where He wants you to give. In the end, we should all look at our giving and ask ourselves, “Am I being generous?” “Am I following the Lord’s leading in generosity?” “Am I cheerful in my giving?”

Thank you for being faithful,

Missions & Outreach Committee
